Görünüşe göre bu sayfa bir İngilizce dilbilgisi alıştırması içeriyor ve Type 2 Koşul Cümleleri (Second Conditional) üzerinde duruyor. Bu tür cümle yapıları genellikle hayali veya şu andaki gerçek dışı durumlar için kullanılır ve “if” (eğer) ile başlar.

Second Conditional Yapısı:

  • If Clause (If cümlesi): Eğer + Simple Past Tense (geçmiş zaman kipi)
  • Main Clause (Ana cümle): would/could + V1 (fiilin birinci hali)

Örnekler üzerinden gidelim:

  1. If I (be) 18 again, I would go on a round-the-world tour.

    • If I were 18 again, I would go on a round-the-world tour.

  2. What (happen) if it (start) raining in the middle of the final match?

    • What would happen if it started raining in the middle of the final match?

  3. If I (win) some money, I (visit) all over Europe next year.

    • If I won some money, I would visit all over Europe next year.

  4. If you (see) the doctor about the rash, you (feel) more comfortable.

    • If you saw the doctor about the rash, you would feel more comfortable.

  5. If I (win) the lottery, I (spend) it on the education of the poor.

    • If I won the lottery, I would spend it on the education of the poor.

  6. What (you/do) if you (see) a famous singer on the street?

    • What would you do if you saw a famous singer on the street?

  7. Governments (save) some money if gasoline prices (be/not) so high.

    • Governments would save some money if gasoline prices were not so high.

  8. I (retire) if I (have) as much money as you do.

    • I would retire if I had as much money as you do.

  9. We don’t mind camping, but if we (have) enough money, we (be) in a hotel.

    • We don’t mind camping, but if we had enough money, we would be in a hotel.

  10. What (you/do) in this situation if you (be) me?

    • What would you do in this situation if you were me?

  11. If Peter (be) here, he (give) us more information.

    • If Peter were here, he would give us more information.

  12. We (learn) a lot from dolphins if they (talk).

    • We would learn a lot from dolphins if they talked.

  13. If I (know) how to swim, I (get) to that small island over there easily.

    • If I knew how to swim, I would get to that small island over there easily.
