- Daisy: “Hello! My name is Daisy. What’s your name?” (Greeting and asking for the other person’s name)
- Henry: “My name is Henry.” (Stating one’s name)
- Daisy: “Nice to meet you.” (Polite expression used when meeting someone for the first time)
- Henry: “Nice to meet you, too.” (Standard polite response adding “too” for agreement)
Scene 2 — Asking How Someone Is:
- Henry: “How are you?” (Inquiring about someone’s condition/feelings)
- Daisy: “I’m fine, and you?” (Replying positively and bouncing the question back)
- Henry: “I’m fine, thank you.” (Polite confirmation with gratitude)

EXAM NOTE: In English introductions, always respond to “Nice to meet you” with “Nice to meet you, too.” When introducing someone nearby, the standard pattern is “This is [Name]”, not “She is [Name]”.
