Sample Phone Dialogue for 8th Grade
Situation: Inviting a Friend to a Party
Caller (Ali): Hello, this is Ali. May I speak to Ayşe, please?
Receiver (Ayşe): Hi Ali! This is Ayşe speaking. How are you?
Caller (Ali): I’m good, thanks! How about you?
Receiver (Ayşe): I’m fine. What’s up?
Caller (Ali): Well, I’m calling to invite you to my birthday party this Saturday. It’s at 6 PM at my house.
