Many years ago, people had not realised how much damage they had caused to nature. By the time scientists had discovered the effects of pollution, air and sea pollution had already increased. Factories had been producing too much rubbish, and people had not been recycling properly. Because of overhunting and overfishing, many species had become endangered.
A scientist said, “If we had taken precautions, we would not have lost so much wildlife.” A volunteer explained that illegal hunting had been a big problem for years. She said that people needed to protect nature and should lessen pollution. Now, organisations are raising awareness of climate change. If we all work together, we can save the environment for future generations.
