MY SCHOOL

## Vocabulary: Places and People at School

💡 **KEY FORMULA / RULE:**  
School vocabulary categorizes words into **places** (e.g., _gym, music room, library, corridor_) and **people** (e.g., _classmate, teacher, librarian, headteacher_). Singular and plural forms must match the sentence verbs (_is/are_).

### 🧠 SOLUTION STEPS

#### Exercise 10: Look, read, and complete.

- **1) gym:** Shown with students exercising with a physical education teacher _(already completed)_.
- **2) music room:** The picture shows students singing and playing music with their teacher.
- **3) classmates:** The picture shows students learning together at their desks in the classroom. Since the verb is plural (_are_), the plural form **classmates** (or _friends_) is required.
- **4) librarian:** The picture shows a woman standing among bookshelves inside the library.
- **5) headteacher / headmaster:** The picture shows a school leader standing formally in the hallway/corridor.
